Jess Archer Vs. S:01 Ep:07

Jess Archer Vs 3After Jess Archer(Emily Williams) sets a trap for football captain Jason(Carmen Carfagna) and he was caught trying to steal answers instead of Lacrosse Team Captain Troy(Michael Fraser).  Things, have been bothering our teen hero and it’s more than she’s a little put off by everyone giving her praise between classes.  Or that both Chase(Stefan Kumor) and Troy are now visiting her in the bathroom and are giving her the huggies.  It’s just that something feels not quite right for her.  How did Jason get those answers into Troy’s locker in the first place?  He does end up revealing the name Casey or was it Kacy, maybe it’s K.C.  I don’t know but I do know that this is a perfect opportunity for Jess and Chase to have a montage and get more facts. Preacher S:01 E:02

Episode Title: See
Originally Aired: June 5th 2016

Two episodes in and the best way to sum up Preacher is baffling but fun. My main hope for the second episode of Preacher was that it would slow down, be a little more focused, and begin to unravel the story that will be told over the 10-episode season. It was not better by leaps and bounds but it was an improvement over last week. Instead of splitting the story almost in thirds, it strongly focuses on Jesse with Tulip and Cassidy acting as supporting characters. Continue reading Preacher S:01 E:02

Preacher S:01 E:01

Episode Title: Pilot
Originally Aired: May 22nd 2016

Have you ever wanted to watch a show and when you turned on your TV there was a sporting event or news broadcast on in its place? Sometimes if the show is popular enough it will start from the beginning and just run long forcing a show later in the evening to adjust. However, if it is just a middle of the road show or something more popular is on later you will hear the message; “we now join this program already in progress.” Continue reading Preacher S:01 E:01

Batman S:02 E:13

The Batman television series attracted many big names to appear as villains on the show. Today we get what may be one of the biggest…Vincent Price. Dressed in a white suit and sporting a bald oversized head he arrived in Gotham City as Egghead in today’s episode, An Egg Grows in Gotham. Continue reading Batman S:02 E:13

Buffy The Vampire Slayer S:04 Ep:01

Episode Title: The Freshman

Original Air Date: October 5, 1999

“Some friends of Buffy’s played a funny joke. They took her stuff, and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.” – Xander

So last time we where with Buffy and the Scoobies, Sunnydale High had been reduced to a smoking hole in the group and Angel had left for L.A. following his break up with Buffy and rejoining Buffy at the start of this season the various members are no less scattered as Buffy, Willow and Oz prepare to start at UC Sunnydale.

Opening to Buffy and Willow on stakeout at a cemetary while they wait for a potential vampire to rise from his grave, Buffy thoughts are more on what classes she is going to be taking than her Slayer duties in a great scene which see’s the pair completely miss the vampire who himself has second thoughts about attacking Buffy and Willow when he notices their arsenal of weapons they have brought with them and instead run of, leaving the pair to continue their wait completely oblivious to the fact that their intended target has just legged it.

Jess Archer Vs. S:01 Ep:06

Jess Archer Vs 3Before I tell you about the latest adventure of Hudson High’s great teen detective Jess Archer.  I want to express just how important it is to support independent media.  Weather it’s a musical artist you find on SoundCloud, or a filmmaker who is promoting their project via Indigogo.  We should all do our part to like and share these talented people with the rest of the world.  I’m not saying you haft to give every single project your hard earned cash, although it’s great  that you do.  It just would be cool if more people took an interest in seeing original content, instead of reboots and remakes.  TV now is starting to turn old movies into TV shows.  Do we really want a Lethal Weapon or The Exorcist as a series.  I know I don’t, so let’s get out there and help support original content. Jess Archer Vs. S:01 Ep:05

Jess Archer Vs 3

Being captain of the Hudson Hawks football team has gotta be pretty sweet.  First off, you’re named after the Bruce Willis cult classic(Hudson Hawk) and second. You’re named after the same flick that was directed and co written by Michael Lehman and Daniel Waters.  The same duo behind the 80’s dark comedy classic Heathers.  Team captain Jason(Carmen Carfagna) is pretty happy that his team is able to regain popularity, now that the captain of the Lacrosse team is involved in a scandal.  But wait, who is this girl coming to talk to him with the long pony tail and t-shirt whose reference I don’t get.  Well it’s our own Nancy Drew, this generation’s Jessica Fletcher, and Veronica Mars’ next replacement.  Yup it’s the one and only Jess Archer(Emily Williams). Buffy The Vampire Slayer S:03 – Wrap Up

Season 3 has been kind of a weird one to revisit especially as it played a lot differently than my nostalgic memories with this season being certainly one of the heavier “Monster of the Week” seasons while our big bad in Mayor Wilkins who basically spent most of the season hiding out at city hall. Occasionally he sent a henchmen to deal with Buffy or appeared to be playing the puppet master, but ultimately it was all a lot of distraction while we edged ever closer to the big finale.

Batman S:02 E:11

Episode Title: The Clock King’s Crazy Crimes

So far in season two we’ve seen five villains, but only one (Catwoman) has been one Batman’s iconic enemies from the comics. Our episode today, though, brings us a comic book villain making his debut on the show. However, this story two-part story would be his only appearance.
