As we inch closer to the end of this series, we will begin to see the final appearances of some of the iconic guest villains this show is known for. Episode Title: Nora Clavicle and the Ladies Crime Club
Original Airdate: January 18, 1968

Throughout its three season run, Batman was always a very harmless show. It never really dealt with hot topics, it was just good natured fun. Which brings us to today’s episode which, unlikely as it seems, is sure to offend a number of people. Get ready to see what happens when the women’s movement comes to Gotham in Nora Clavicle and the Ladies Crime Club. Continue reading Batman S:03 E:19

Episode Title: Louie’s Lethal Lilac Time
Original Airdate: January 11, 1968

In this week’s episode, we see the return of a villain we were first introduced to earlier this season, Louie the Lilac as played by Milton Berle. I wasn’t all that thrilled with his first appearance, I gotta admit. Let’s see if things end up any better in this second appearance, Louie’s Lethal Lilac Time. Continue reading Batman S:03 E:18

Episode Title: The Joke’s on Catwoman
Original Airdate: January 4, 1968

In our last episode we had a less than satisfying team up between Cesar Romero’s Joker and Eartha Kitt’s Catwoman. It was a convoluted plot involving stealing a pair of pajamas and a baby’s cradle to learn the location of some gun powder that’s been hidden for 200 years. It didn’t make a whole lot of sense. Let’s see if things get any better in part two of the story, the first episode to air in 1968, The Joke’s on Catwoman. Continue reading Batman S:03 E:17

Episode Title: The Funny Feline Felonies
Original Airdate: December 28, 1967

Well, on our last few episodes we’ve had to deal with the bizarre team up of Olga and Egghead. I’m all for seeing some of the bad guys joining forces, but that was just kind of weird. This week we have another team-up, but this time it involves two much more iconic villains. Get ready for Joker and Catwoman working together in The Funny Feline Felonies. Continue reading Batman S:03 E:16

Episode Title: The Ogg Couple
Original Airdate: December 21, 1967

Greetings citizens of Gotham! Before we begin this week’s episode, I want to apologize for being a bit behind on the reviews lately. Not only have I been traveling a lot for work lately, but I’ve also been horribly sick the whole time. I’m finally on the mend, though, so it’s time to get back on track. This week we see the return of that unlikely pair of Egghead (Vincent Price) and Olga, Queen of the Cossacks (Anne Baxter). They are up to no good again in this week’s episode, The Ogg Couple. Continue reading Batman S:03 E:15

Episode Title: The Bloody Tower
Original Airdate: December 7, 1967

Well, it’s time to wrap up the Caped Crusaders’ adventure in Londinium. Considering how lackluster the first two episodes of this story were, I think we’re all pretty anxious to get back stateside. But first, Batgirl, who has been captured by Lord Ffogg (Rudy Vallee) and Lady Peasoup (Glynis Johns), needs saving. Let’s see what happens in the conclusion of our British adventure, The Bloody Tower. Continue reading Batman S:03 E:13

Episode Title: The Foggiest Notion
Original Airdate: November 30, 1967

If you recall, our last adventure in Gotham…uh…actually didn’t take place in Gotham. We all headed off across the pond to Londinium and…actually…not a lot happened. Episode one of this three-part adventure was a whole lot of setup and not a lot of action. Let’s find out if things get better in part two of this story, The Foggiest Notion. Continue reading Batman S:03 E:12

Episode Title: The Londinium Larcenies
Original Airdate: November 23, 1967

It’s not unusual for classic TV show casts to spend an episode or two visiting some far away location. The cast of I Love Lucy famously went on a trip to Hollywood. The Facts of Life went to Paris and Australia. The Brady Bunch even visited such exotic locales as the Grand Canyon, Hawaii, and Cincinnati (remember the King’s Island episode?). Well, it turns out that even Batman stepped outside of Gotham City for a three-part episode during the final season. Thing is, though, they didn’t actually travel anywhere. We’re still locked in the backlot, but this time the sets play the part of the city of Londinium (not London) in merry old England. Have your passports ready for The Londinium Larcenies. Continue reading Batman S:03 E:11

Episode Title: How to Hatch a Dinosaur
Original Airdate: November 9, 1967

If you recall, last time we visited Gotham, our heroes had to face not one but two villains in the form of Egghead (Vincent Price) and Olga, Queen of the Cosacks (Anne Baxter). However, they both managed to get away. We didn’t really get a cliffhanger, but we were promised their return in the next episode. Well, here they are with a brand new scheme which has nothing to do with last week’s story. Get ready for How to Hatch a Dinosaur. Continue reading Batman S:03 E:09
