Episode Title: Reflections of the Way Liv Use to Be
Original Airdate: 4-5-16

The case-of-the-week has Liv and Clive looking into another murder at the local university, where Liv runs into some of the old frat bros from earlier in the season. The dead girl whose brain Liv turns into stir fry was incredibly Type A, running for Student Senate and a CI for Seattle PD after being busted for selling Adderall, so we get to see Det. Benedetto from Vice again (Enrico Colantoni), but he’s not exactly the good guy one would hope for in a cop. When busting dealing college kids, he turns them into CIs, without approval from higher-ups, in order for them to get their charges dropped and him to bust more drug dealers, which is all very dangerous.

Episode Title: Flash Back
Original Airdate: 3-29-16

It’s time to go back, back to the future! Or actually the past as the Flash decides that he needs to talk to the only other speedster that he knows of who just so happens to be based back in the past. A year in the past to be exact back in season one as he visits Eobord Thawne posing as Harrison Wells during the time when he battled the Pied Piper. Though as usual, things don’t go exactly according to plan and the timeline gets changed in at least one unexpected way.

Daredevil S:02 E:03

Episode Title: New York’s Finest

This episode covered both ends of the spectrum; it started with long sequences of dialog and exposition and finished with the most action-filled scene of the series so far. We finally learn the Punisher’s first name, Frank, and that he believes he is doing what is right by preventing evil men from committing further atrocities. While I could always use more Foggy, this very good episode let us scratch the surface of what motivates our two heroes.

Episode Title: Pour Some Sugar, Zombie
Original Airdate: 3-29-16

This week Liv and Clive investigate the murder of a stripper, who had just called Peyton with the intention of ratting out her two-timing boyfriend who just happens to work for Stacy Boss. Of course the boyfriend is a suspect, plus several other strippers and that weird weatherman who pops up as a suspect from time to time, Johnny Frost. One day it really will be him, I swear. Liv’s secondhand personality is mainly a lot of yelling at people, but there is one weird scene where she gives Peyton a lap dance at a strip club to try to trigger a vision. It doesn’t work.

Episode Title: Dogs to a Gunfight
Originally Aired: March 18th, 2016

After the exciting conclusion to the first episode of the new season the second episode starts with Foggy on a frantic search for the injured Matt. The mystery of who Daredevil’s rooftop opponent was is slowly being brought into the light literally and figuratively. We finally get to see The Punisher in the light for the first time and get a good look at John Bernthal’s Frank Castle. We also learn that the moniker The Punisher is the code name given to him by the police and District Attorney’s office.  Continue reading Daredevil S:02 E:02

Episode Title: Trajectory
Original Airdate: 3-22-16

Barry and co are back from their mini hiatus and are met with yet another speedster and this time it’s a lady. Meanwhile Iris has to deal with her own mini J. Jonah Jameson who also just happens to have a little crush on her, which is probably why she hasn’t been fired yet. And the show ends on one of the most anti-climactic reveals in the show’s history considering that it’s essentially just the characters finding out something that the audience already knew.

Episode Title: He Blinded Me with Science
Original Airdate: 3-22-16

And, after yet another hiatus, we’re back. This week Liv and Clive investigate the murder of a scientist who was burned alive. She had been a researcher for a drug company with results that went very awry for one poor test subject, which leaves a few suspects, like the scarred test subject and the deceased’s former partner. But during all the questioning, Liv has a vision of the scientist working for none other than Van du Clark at Max Rager. Liv goes under cover to learn more, but gets caught by VDC when she tries to sneak into the super secret basement lab. However, she has another vision of a full-on zombie, which leads her to believe that Max Rager is experimenting on the undead in said super secret basement lab (which is totally true).

Episode Title: Bang
Originally Aired: 3/18/2016

As temperatures climb tempers flare and as the title implies the new season of Daredevil starts with a bang. Season 2 picks up a short but indeterminate amount of time after the events of season 1, new cartels, mobs and criminals of every sort are out to fill the void left behind by the Kingpin and his associates. The city of Hell’s Kitchen is in the grips of a heat wave, things are about to boil over and Daredevil may not be the man for the job this time around.

Agent Carter Season 2 Recap

Season two of Agent Carter started out about as well as anyone could have asked. Unfortunately after six episodes into the ten episode season things began to fall apart. If the show returns for a third season I hope they move on from all of the writers responsible for the final four episodes except for Brant Englestein who also wrote the season premier.
