We have finally reached the climax of what Netflix and Marvel have been working for these last two plus years. Four heroes with five combined seasons have been building to this moment where our heroes take on the ultimate weapon of the Hand. After the events of last week, it comes down to two races, can the Hand get the substance out before the rest of the team shows up to rescue Danny and put an end to the Hand and their evil plans for New York. We are now three quarters of the way through the season and the Hand has everything they need to complete their plan, all it has cost them is two of the five fingers. With the changing leadership landscape will the Hand easily be defeated or will they be more dangerous than ever as their desperation ramps up. You would think with the Defenders out numbering the Hand leaders 4 to 3 that it would be to their advantage, unfortunately the only action in this week’s episode was hero vs hero. Last week I speculated that this episode would contain a massive action scene and I wasn’t really right but I wasn’t wrong either. While it wasn’t the extensive knock down fight I was expecting, nearly the first 8 minutes of tonight’s episode was action and they sprinkled in a couple of smaller fights as well to keep the episode high energy. Tonight’s episode of Iron Fist was once again light on action until the final 10 minutes when Danny confronts Harold for all of his past and current misdeeds. Episode Title: Bar the Big Boss

Last week was a lot of set up with just a brief action scene and this week was the inverse. Tonight’s episode featured betrayals, infighting multiple stabbings and shootings before the nearly 50 minutes were up. One family bound together by blood and time is torn to pieces and a makeshift family brought together by circumstances may also be shattered beyond repair. Episode Title: Lead Horse Back to Stable

While it is named after an actual Kung Fu move, I think the 11th episode of Marvel’s Iron Fist should have been named Lead Horses Back to Stables. This episode was about two people being pulled in different directions. The life they have known for years versus a new life with someone special.
