Hooray; we are back with another exciting episode of Jess Archer Vs. When we last left our dynamic duo of Jess(Emily Williams) and Chase(Stefan Kumor). They were being hired by Troy the captain of the lacrosse team who claims he was being framed for giving away the answers to the mid terms. I mean, he wasn’t just giving them away. He was accused of selling them at a reasonable price. At least I’m guessing they were reasonable. I know nothing about the market of test answers for high school academic tests. Wait a minute, why am I making any accusations on this person whom I barely have any knowledge of. Let’s leave the interrogation to our two gumshoes, shall we. However it’s not long before this new power starts to overwhelm her while worse still someone is plotting to kill the students of Sunnydale High.
Jess Archer Vs S:01 Ep:01
Hello everyone and welcome to the first episode of the series Jess Archer Vs. In the last post we were introduced to high school student Jess Archer as she solved the mystery of her best friend Chase’s missing Phantom comic book. Now Jess is back with a brand new mystery, new characters, and even more of that great wit and Archer charm. Remember that one movie Brick where it was set in high school but everyone talked like they were in a Phillip Marlowe crime novel. Jess Archer Vs feels like its a film noir that was played out on the holodeck via Star Trek by the characters of Archie comics. Better yet, Jess Archer Vs is Velma and Scooby Doo(if he were human) solving crimes at the same high school that the scooby gang from Buffy The Vampire Slayer attended. Even better, Jess Archer Vs is a fun series that has characters who are well written and one day will be referenced in other shows. But enough of this chatter, let’s get to this week’s episode. Jess Archer Vs S:01 Ep:00
Starting on Wednesday June 1st, I am going to start reviewing episodes of the new web series Jess Archer Vs. The best way I can describe the show to those who have never heard of it is that it’s part Scott Pilgrim Vs The World meets Veronica Mars. Set at a High School during an undetermined period. The series focuses on our two heroes Jess Archer(Emily Williams) and her BFF Chase Pollard(Stefan Kumor) . Two friends who are in love with comics, enjoy quoting movies and, playing pranks on the school security guard Officer Turner(Joel Stigliano) Continue reading Jess Archer Vs S:01 Ep:00
Daredevil S:02 E:11
Episode Title: .380
Original Aired: March 18th 2016
Things are really starting to ramp up towards the conclusion of season two. With just two more episodes to go, I am curious if each story line will get its own episode or if Matt will be working to stop the Blacksmith and the Hand at the same time. My Preference is to dedicate an episode to each storyline so we can really focus on what it means for our characters, even though one episode does not seem like enough to resolve things with the Hand because we just do not know very much. As Matt moves closer and closer to a resolution to the issues with Frank and the Hand his personal life is crumbling around him even faster. Continue reading Daredevil S:02 E:11

Episode Title: The Spell of Tut
Original Airdate: September 28, 1966
One of the unexpected highlights of Batman season one was the appearance of Victor Buono as the villainous King Tut. I say “unexpected” because I usually don’t expect as much from the series’ original bad guys as opposed to the more iconic members of Batman’s rogue’s gallery. Tut left a big impression, however. Apparently the producers of the show thought so, too. He was brought back here in season two. We begin with part one of the story, The Spell of Tut. Continue reading Batman S:02 E:07

“Demons after money. Whatever happened to the still-beating heart of a virgin? No one has any standards anymore.” – Giles
Another big week for the series as after weeks of posturing and teasing things out with his super nice guy evil style, the Mayor finally makes a move against Buffy and the Scoobies, as he plots to turn Angel back into Angelous. At the same time Faith also goes fully rogue as her alliance with the mayor is revealed setting everyone on the path now toward the forthcoming showdown between the two groups.

While I’m not going to be so dramatic to proclaim I’m giving up on Arrow, this season’s finale didn’t exactly leave me especially optimistic for Season 5. Continue reading Arrow: S:04 E:23
