Iron Fist S:01 E:12

Episode Title: Bar the Big Boss
Originally Aired: March 17 2017

Last week was a lot of set up with just a brief action scene and this week was the inverse. Tonight’s episode featured betrayals, infighting multiple stabbings and shootings before the nearly 50 minutes were up. One family bound together by blood and time is torn to pieces and a makeshift family brought together by circumstances may also be shattered beyond repair. As Bakuto would say one of those families is filled with vipers and is beyond repair while the other may have a chance to come back together. Continue reading Iron Fist S:01 E:12

Well, we’re a few days late on this week’s episode of Wonder Woman, but we couldn’t possibly ignore our favorite Amazon princess this week. Iron Fist S:01 E:11

Episode Title: Lead Horse Back to Stable
Originally Aired: March 17th 2017

While it is named after an actual Kung Fu move, I think the 11th episode of Marvel’s Iron Fist should have been named Lead Horses Back to Stables. This episode was about two people being pulled in different directions. The life they have known for years versus a new life with someone special. Davos is determined to lead Danny back to K’un-Lun and Bakuto is unwittingly leading Colleen back to Danny and only Danny. Continue reading Iron Fist S:01 E:11

When we last left Gotham City, Batman and Robin had been trapped in a giant spider web by Black Widow (Tallulah Bankhead) with a couple of giant spiders crawling up their bodies. Speaking of trapped, they were also trapped in a pretty lousy episode. Do things get better this time? Let’s find out in Caught in the Spider’s Den. Continue reading Batman S:02 E:56

“Did anybody order an apocalypse?” – Glory

Does anyone remember when this was a show about high school kids battling the supernatural? Certainly something which came to mind this week as Buffy struggles to adapt to her new parental responsibilities. At the same time Glory’s hunt for “The Key” threatens another member of the group with devastating results.

Episode Title: The Bushwhackers
Original Airdate: January 29, 1977

When I was about 13 years old, I went on a trip with my grandparents to Washington D.C. I have many great memories of the trip, but one unusual thing I remember is that we had many of our meals at one restaurant in particular. See, many of the fast-food joints we came across were, let’s just say not too friendly looking. So, we kept on going back to Roy Rogers Chicken. We didn’t have those in the midwest, so it was kind of unique. Before he got into the chicken biz, though, Roy Rogers was a big big movie star. He wasn’t quite the box office draw anymore in 1977, but he did end up guest starring on Wonder Woman. Here he is as a Texas rancher in The Bushwhackers. Continue reading Wonder Woman S:01 E:12
