The Punisher S:01 E:04

Episode Title: Resupply
Originally Aired: November 17th 2017

The fourth episode of The Punisher gave us our third director in Kari Skogland who is known for directing episodes of Amazon’s The Handmaidens Tale and Showtime’s The Borgias. I think she decided to focus a little more on the characters and less on the action than her predecessors. Continue reading The Punisher S:01 E:04

Episode Title: The Joke’s on Catwoman
Original Airdate: January 4, 1968

In our last episode we had a less than satisfying team up between Cesar Romero’s Joker and Eartha Kitt’s Catwoman. It was a convoluted plot involving stealing a pair of pajamas and a baby’s cradle to learn the location of some gun powder that’s been hidden for 200 years. It didn’t make a whole lot of sense. Let’s see if things get any better in part two of the story, the first episode to air in 1968, The Joke’s on Catwoman. Continue reading Batman S:03 E:17

Episode Title: Two Heads are Better than One
Original Airdate: April 29, 1994

Rita and her gang have come up with some pretty weird monsters over the course of this first Power Rangers season. Some of the creatures have at least been based off of some pretty ferocious real world animals. Every now and then, though we get one that seems to have come out of some insane acid trip. Case in point: a two-headed parrot. That’s what we get this week in Two Heads are Better than One. Continue reading Mighty Morphin Power Rangers S:01 E:52

Episode Title: Kandahar
Originally Aired: November 17th 2017

This is the first of two episodes directed by Andy Goddard and because of a great show runner in Steve Lightfoot the differences from episode two to three were very minimal. It was hard to tell if the differences in the way action was portrayed was because of the way it was shot or just the story around it. Most of the episode takes place in Afghanistan, while Frank was still a soldier and not a revenge seeking missile, so it was a very different kind of combat for us to see on screen. Episode Title: The Funny Feline Felonies
Original Airdate: December 28, 1967

Well, on our last few episodes we’ve had to deal with the bizarre team up of Olga and Egghead. I’m all for seeing some of the bad guys joining forces, but that was just kind of weird. This week we have another team-up, but this time it involves two much more iconic villains. Get ready for Joker and Catwoman working together in The Funny Feline Felonies. Buffy The Vampire Slayer S:06 Ep:13

Episode Title:  Dead Things

Original Air Date: 5th February, 2002

“Well, isn’t this usually the part where you kick me in the head and virtue fluttering?” – Spike

Considering the screwed up place the world has become over the last couple of months, with numerous figures of power being rightfully proven that they aren’t as omnipotent as they might quite liked to have believed. Of course with this in mind it only makes it the more akward that this weeks episode would revolve around the latest scheme from “The Trio” involving them using magic to hypnotise women into being their willing sex slaves.

Episode Title: Two Dead Men
Originally Aired: November 17th 2017

A tale of two dead men is not only the title of this episode, it is a word puzzle Frank shares with his children and the main components to this episode.  This is the second episode directed by Tom Shankland so it is very similar to last week’s episode in look and performance from the actors. Episode Title: Grumble Bee
Original Airdate: April 28, 1994

When you’re a kid there’s nothing more terrifying than bees. Who cares about whatever good they may do…all that matters is that they’ve got stingers and they ain’t afraid to use them. The citizens of Angel Grove are about to feel the sting, so to speak, as Rita unleashes a new monster known as the Grumble Bee in today’s episode called, oddly enough, Grumble Bee. Episode Title: The Ogg Couple
Original Airdate: December 21, 1967

Greetings citizens of Gotham! Before we begin this week’s episode, I want to apologize for being a bit behind on the reviews lately. Not only have I been traveling a lot for work lately, but I’ve also been horribly sick the whole time. I’m finally on the mend, though, so it’s time to get back on track. This week we see the return of that unlikely pair of Egghead (Vincent Price) and Olga, Queen of the Cossacks (Anne Baxter). They are up to no good again in this week’s episode, The Ogg Couple.
