Welcome back dearies, Cryptkeeper Bubbawheat here to introduce yet another writer for our 31 Days of Tales From the Crypt. Today’s ghost blogger is Daniel Lackey from The Nightmare Gallery where he takes a look at all sorts of movies with a bit of an extra edge towards horror. He takes a look at the very last episode which I have yet to watch myself, though I do plan on catching it before the end of this month, it’s the only animated episode even though there was an animated spin-off series called Tales From the Cryptkeeper that started just a few years earlier, so let’s take a look at Daniel’s thoughts on the Third Pig.

Episode Title: The Man Who Saved Central City

The Flash is back, and after a couple episodes of watching Gotham, I’m very glad to have this show back. This is the type of show that knows how to balance the fun of being a superhero who runs really really really fast with the serious dramatic moments of losing your friend, your husband, your father, and it manages to make you care about both of those moments. The season finale introduced the concept of different universes, and this episode gave up a little bit more information without dwelling on the exact nature of what’s going on just yet. There were plenty of great moments in this episode, and a couple of shocking ones, and I can’t wait to see where this season goes.

Episode Title: The Last Laugh

I’m still neck deep in my love/hate relationship with Gotham even as we round the corner past the first mini-arc of season two. For every character that I love, there’s a character that I equally hate. For every scene that I love, there’s a scene that just rubs me the wrong way. And even in an episode that I really enjoyed overall, there were still a handful of scenes and moments that made me want to shake my head in annoyment. I was honestly on the edge of rage-quitting this show last episode based on all the headway they were making with baby Joker, then I watch this episode and I enjoy almost everything about it. Again, except for the direction that they’re still going with the Joker. It just keeps me hanging on by a thread week after week, though if the ratings continue in their direction this show won’t be around for a third season.

Good morning Creeps and Cronies! Cryptkeeper Bubbawheat here for yet another day in our 31 Days of Tales From the Crypt, day 6 to be ex-hack-t. Today’s episode is being looked at by one of our own authors here at Channel: Superhero, Todd Leibenow. He’s someone just as busy as I am with two podcasts and his own blog all hosted over at Forgotten Films and he also covered the entire series of the 1980’s Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and has moved onto the Adam West ’66 Batman. Travis, Madison and Daniel begin packing the essentials to head out to the desert like they initially planned, but not before stopping at the military compound to get their family members. In order to get in, they lead a horde of Walkers to the compound’s front gates (presumably from the stadium where the government locked thousands of innocent people in with the infected that Ofelia’s soldier boyfriend mentioned). Nick somehow managed to get a key to the gate where he and the mysterious stranger, Strand (best character so far), were being held, and escape as all hell breaks loose at the compound. Just as the two are about to become Walker snacks trapped against locked doors, with Madison watching through the window on the other side, Liza saves the day with her government issued key card.

Good evening ghosts and goblins, welcome once again to another day in our 31 Days of Tales From the Crypt, day 5 to be exact. Where I, your Cryptkeeper Bubbawheat am here to introduce today’s guest blogger who will be taking a look at the very first episode in this series that just so happens to star frequent Tales From the Crypt actor William Sadler who played in two episodes of the show, was a main character in the first movie, and had a small role in the second. As for our host today, he goes by the name Spikor who you may or may not recognize as one of the villains from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. This Spikor writes over at Fat Guy With Glasses where he dispenses his wisdom on books, movies, TV, and of course, action figures.
