Episode Title: Ice Spy

Most of the guest villains on Batman were played by a single actor throughout the series’ entire run. Cesar Romero was the only Joker, Burgess Meredith the only Penguin, and so on. When it comes to Mr. Freeze, though, the character appeared in three stories and each time was played by a different actor. We first met him in season one as played by George Sanders, then earlier this season we saw him played by Otto Preminger, but now we get to the version of Freeze I’ve been most looking forward to. So here we are at the end of another season and its one which had originally been designed to end the series only to instead end up serving as a finale for the show’s time on the WB Network before it moved over to the rival UPN for the final two seasons. Still as the finale’s go this is a great one especially as having wasted the previous episode either running around on pointless research missions are hanging around in Buffy’s sub-concious finally we get back on track here with Buffy and the Scoobies preparing for war against Glory before she can sacrifice Dawn and bring about the apocalypse.

After the mini on the road adventure last week we are now gearing up for the season finale which of course makes it the more frustrating that we get such a spluttering misfire of an episode which picks up from the previous episode with Glory making her final preparations to open a gateway back to her dimension now that she has finally captured Dawn. Buffy meanwhile have lost her sister and faced with the prospect that she might not be able to beat Glory has become catatonic.
Episode Title: Birds of a Feather

Well, things are different now in Angel Grove. The poor citizens who have to deal with the constant giant monster attacks are now one superhero short. At the end of our last episode, Tommy (the green ranger) lost his powers, though he did score a date with Kimberly. What a trade off…you loose your superpowers, but you get to lock lips with Kimberly. There’s probably a bunch of guys who were 10 years old in 1993 that would’ve taken that trade. This week we were to begin our look at the final two-episode story of Batman season two. However, it didn’t seem right to just continue on business as usual after the passing of Batman himself, Adam West, this past Friday. The role of the Caped Crusader would define West’s career. So last episode we ended on something of a cliffhanger as Glory tore the wall off Willows dorm room wall after brain draining Tara mistaking her for the Key. Of course Tara now in her brain-drained state can see who exactly is the Key and revealed to Glory that Dawn was the Key she’s been desperately seeking.
Despite the episode being setup like it was leading into the finale what we get instead is something of a prolonged chase as Buffy and the Scoobies hop aboard their sun proof R.V. and head out on the road though were they are heading to isn’t overly clear with the main priority being to just get out of Sunnydale especially with Glory knowing the truth about Dawn.
