We are back for episode seven of Marvel and Netflix’s Iron Fist and we are treated to how devious and dangerous Harold Meachum actually is. He is murderous, a liar and a manipulator his only goal is to regain his power and freedom no matter what it costs Danny and Ward. Harold is always using Ward or demanding things from him but Harold knows exactly want to say to get Ward to come to his aid when he is most reluctant, “I need you son.” Of course, Ward cannot turn down an opportunity to prove himself to his father even if it means dumping bodies in a pond in the park. Well, when we last left the Power Rangers, they had been zapped off to Rita’s Island of Illusion. Here they’ve run into a weird little dude named Quagmire and have been warned that they will have to face their worst fears. That’s just what happened to Zack when he ran into a giant snake. So this was one of the episodes I was dreading having to cover, not because its a bad episode, infact it might be one of the most important episodes in the whole series as following on from the stinger of the previous episode here we get to rewatch Buffy return home to find her mother slumped on the couch having died from a brain aneurysm.

Joyce’s death came as a major surprise to fans of the show especially when she’d always been such a background presence on the show, helping to keep Buffy grounded especially when her slaying duties were putting a strain on her and while Joyce might not always have known how to handle her daughters calling she was always there for her. As such to have her ripped out only makes her departure all the more emotional, more so when the episode highlights just how much she meant to the group aswell. The main focus though is on a robot girlfriend who arrives in Sunnydale looking for her creator while at the same time harbouring a serious jealous streak which could spell trouble for anyone who gets in her way.

There are certain actors that are well known for playing villains. There’s just a certain quality that makes them particularly suited to that type of role. Now, maybe it’s just me, but if I were a casting director, my first instinct for casting a bad guy would probably not be to go for an actor who is most famous for playing one of TV’s most famous sitcom dads. Then again, actors pride themselves on versatility. Forget about The Brady Bunch for a while, because this episode gives us Robert Reed (Mike Brady himself) as a sinister agent working for the Nazis in The Pluto File.
