Episode Title: Second Chance
Original Airdate: May 4, 1994

Sports were never my thing when I was a kid. I never have been very athletic. The one organized sport I did play for a time was soccer. I usually played a midfield position. I wasn’t very good, but I could kick the ball forward if it came to me, and that was pretty much my job. Well, it seems that soccer is pretty popular in Angel Grove, too. In today’s episode of Power Rangers our heroes have to kick around a strange giant armadillo, soccer style in Second Chance. Continue reading Mighty Morphin Power Rangers S:01 E:55

Episode Title: The Judas Goat
Originally Aired: November 17th 2017

Episode six was a lesson in dichotomies it as simultaneously the sweetest and most brutal episode of the series so far. Frank’s delusions and flashbacks to the death of his family receive an unexpected uptick in viciousness. The tale of a soldier struggling with his return to life as a civilian took a dramatic and fatal turn. A real life story of military training that is every PETA members worst nightmare and a betrayal round out the depressing side of the episode. Continue reading The Punisher S:01 E:06

Episode Title: Trick or Treat
Original Airdate: May 3, 1994

It may be Christmas time, but today’s episode of Power Rangers has a bit of a Halloween theme to it. Strangely, though, it originally aired in May, not October. It’s a strange adventure that somehow combines a pumpkin monster, a cheesy game show, and some of the worst rap you’ve ever heard. Get ready for Trick or Treat. In this week’s episode, we see the return of a villain we were first introduced to earlier this season, Louie the Lilac as played by Milton Berle. The Punisher S:01 E:05

We have made it to episode five and we are finally starting to get some answers to some questions big and small. We learn the identity of the person that recorded the video that lead to the death of Frank’s family and the attempted murder of Lieberman.  We learned that Madina has sex just like you would expect her too, she never surrenders control anywhere. We learned what was really behind Project Cerberus and what lead to the death of Madani’s partner. I would like to say it was something more interesting than it is but it is a very real-world reason. Episode Title: Fowl Play
Original Airdate: May 2, 1994

Shows like Power Rangers are what filled the kids block programming schedules in the 90’s, but when I was a kid in the 70’s and 80’s, most of that time was filled with classic cartoons. Stuff like Popeye, Tom and Jerry, and Woody Woodpecker. Well, on this visit to Angel Grove we get a very different type of woodpecker than the classic cartoon character. It’s time for some monster bird action in Fowl Play. Continue reading Mighty Morphin Power Rangers S:01 E:53
