Well true believers, if you’re afraid of things that go bump in the night then this week’s episode of Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends may not be for you. Webseries: Bad Days S:01 E:08

Episode Title: Captain America
Original Airdate: 11-26-12

Welcome to another Webseries Spotlight where you don’t just have to read about the shows we cover here, but you can actually watch them. This time around I’m featuring an animated webseries from Klomp Animation based out of the Netherlands about superheroes having a bad day, appropriately called Bad Days. We will be sharing an episode, a part of our conversation with lead animator and co-founder Junaid Chundrigar, and/or some behind the scenes pictures each week every Thursday. But if you can’t wait, feel free to check out the rest of the webseries at Stan Lee’s World of Heroes and CineFix. This week it’s time to take a look back at the first Avenger.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer S:01 Ep:03

Episode title: Witch

Original air date: January 17, 1998

“I laugh in the face of danger – then I hide until it goes away.” – Xander

Seemingly keen to not fall into the cycle of find vampire, turn to dust, repeat; the show changes things up this week by having a none vampire threat, something the show did well by ensuring that the enemies that Buffy faced were varied to say the least.

Buffy determined to maintain some form of normal high school life outside of her slayer duties this week tries out for the cheerleader squad. However when one cheerleader spontaneously combusts and Cordelia is struck down by mysterious blindness, leaving Buffy determined to find who is responsible for these mysterious events.  Ok so perhaps the title gives this one away as in case you haven’t guessed already a witch is responsible for these events. This being said the search for said witch still makes for a fun episode as the group try to track her down.

iZombie S:01 E:12

Episode Title: Dead Rat, Live Rat, Brown Rat, White Rat
Original Airdate: 6-2-15

As the last show of the season gets ready for it’s season finale things get pretty crazy and so much is still going on I can’t imagine how it’s all going to wrap up in just one more episode! While there isn’t any new information on the Max Rager front, the show finally brings a thread back around from about four or five episodes ago. There’s another great zombie fight that we haven’t really gotten to see since the kung fu brains way back in episode four. I really doubt that everyone is going to make it out alive next episode, but we’ll just have to wait a week to find out.

As always, if you can’t wait to check out the rest of the episodes, visit their official website. This week the duo show up to protect a legend.

Tiger and Bunny S:01 E:02

Episode Title: A Good Beginning Makes a Good Ending
Original Airdate: 4-10-11

The second episode picks up right where the first one left off with Wild Tiger getting stuck with Barnaby as his new partner and immediately the two don’t mesh well as they go after a giant moving statue. There’s a bit of a comedy of errors as Barnaby wants to check out the situation while Wild Tiger wants to jump right in and they end up getting in each others way and only making it out alive by sheer luck. There’s a lot of great comedy moments in this episode, but there’s also the first bit of real heart as we get to see some of Wild Tiger’s backstory that parallels the NEXT behind this episode’s attack.

The Walking Dead Season 2

Episode Title: What Lies Ahead
Original Airdate: 10-16-11

Time for Season 2: The Farm. After the CDC plan literally blows up in the Group’s face, they decide to head to Fort Benning, which is a daunting 125 miles away, during which they are stopped by a pile-up of hundreds of abandoned cars on the highway and a busted RV hose. While Dale is repairing the RV, a herd of Walkers comes through, forcing the Group to hide under the abandoned cars. Before the coast is clear, 12-year-old Sophia tries to crawl out and is grabbed by a Walker. She manages to escape but runs off into the woods, followed by a couple of the undead. Rick goes to rescue her, but must leave her in the woods alone to draw off the Walkers. When he returns, she is gone.

Batman Beyond S:02 Ep:05

Episode title: Hidden Agenda

Original air date: October 16, 1999

Another exciting episode this week especially as it introduces the character of Maxine “Max” Gibson who will soon become another key character in the series.  The downside though is that she is working on a program to reveal the true identity of Batman. At the same time the Jokerz have found themselves a dangerous new leader in the zombie make up wearing “Terminal” who is leading his goons with a worryingly high level of professionalism, but does he hide an ulterior motive?

Heroes: Introduction

It’s been less than 10 years since the premier of Heroes in the fall of 2006. It was a show that I watched almost religiously, at least for the first season and a half and then once again for the last half of the final season. It came with a large amount of hype as I clearly remembered the early trailers for the series that started with the home video footage of Clair Bennet falling, resetting her broken arm, and declaring that was attempt number six. As the season went on, the catch phrase “Save the Cheerleader, Save the World” became a viral phenomenon as viewers wondered how the season would end with some climactic struggle between good and evil set in what felt very much like the real world.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold S01 E18

Episode Title: “The Color of Revenge!”

Original Air Date: May 22, 2009

The phrase “Dynamic Duo” is as firmly entrenched in Batman lore as “the Dark Knight”, and of course it takes two to form a duo. In this episode we finally get to meet Robin (Dick Grayson), the second part to that duo, and in at least some people’s opinion, perhaps Batman’s better half.
