Buffy The Vampire Slayer S:02 Ep:17

Episode Title: Passion

Original Air Date: February 24, 1998

“We had kind of a ‘pajama party sleepover with weapons’ thing” – Willow

This week is not only a key episode but also one which sadly marks the end of the line for one of the cast, as Angel embark on a campaign of torment against the Scoobies, while at the same time Jenny believes that she may have found a way to restore his soul.

The Flash S:02 E:09

Episode Title: Running to Stand Still
Original Airdate: 12-8-15

It’s already come time for the midseason finale before the show takes a relatively short break before coming back alongside Legends of Tomorrow in about a month and a half. This episode is all about secrets coming out into the open as well as a few secrets that remain buried. Or another way to put it is secrets from the past coming back to haunt you. After several episodes kind of sitting it out, Zoom makes a reappearance and so does the Trickster, just in time for Christmas.

Supergirl S:01 E:07

Episode Title: Human For A Day

Original Airdate: 12-7-15

Trust. When you have it, it’s a powerful ally. When you don’t… well, that’s bad. Following the events of “Red Faced”, Kara’s powers are gone, and both she and her sister Alex (Chyler Leigh) still have issues of trust regarding DEO head Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) and his history with their father. When an earthquake strikes National City, a superpowered alien named Jemm (Charles Halford) escapes DEO custody, and Maxwell Lord (Peter Facinelli) goes on a PR rampage undermining Supergirl’s lack of presence in the aftermath. Without powers, and facing a crisis of confidence, Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) discover that sometimes it takes more than super strength, heat vision or the ability to fly to be a hero.

Episode title: Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered

Original air date: February 10, 1998

“Well, this is new territory for me. I mean, my valentines are usually met with heartfelt restraining orders.” – Xander

Yes it’s another of my favourite episodes with this Xander lead episodes see’s him teaming up with Witch Amy to cast a love spell on Cordelia after she leaves him fearing the damage their relationship is doing to her status at Sunnydale High. Of course things don’t go exactly as planned when Xander suddenly finds himself irresistibly attractive to all women except Cordeilia!

Episode Title: Heroes of Today
Original Airdate: 12-1-15

I wonder if this will be planned to be a yearly-ish thing for Flash and Arrow to have their big crossover episode around midseason finale time. Or at least a couple episodes before midseason finale since there’s at least one more new episode of the Flash to come out next week. Not to mention that this episode, at least the first half of it feels more like the biggest part of the prequel to Legends of Tomorrow than any other episode to date. I mean, it’s even called Legends of Today, you can’t get much more clearer than that. But it was still a very fun episode that brought a lot out on all fronts. It was interesting for me to watch since I still haven’t been watching Arrow so the last time I caught up with them was the last time that Barry caught up with them.

Gotham S:02 E:11

Episode Title: Worse Than a Crime
Original Airdate: 11-30-15

We’ve come to the midseason finale and it’s been a doozy in more ways than one. It’s amazing to me that just over a month ago I was nearly ready to stop watching this show because I disliked everything about it aside from a couple characters. And in such a short time it has turned around into one of my favorite shows of the year. Every single character arc is hitting for me on every level and it’s a shame that the teaser for the return has a bit of an odd turn. Hopefully they can keep these characters going the way they have been because I’m all for it for now.

Gotham S:02 E:10

Episode Title: The Son of Gotham
Original Airdate: 11-23-15

Without going into too much detail just yet, I think it’s safe to say that I’m pretty much fully on board again with Gotham. There’s only a couple middling things here and there that have been bugging me, but for the most part I’m truly enjoying where the arcs are for every character on the show. Gordon, Riddler, and Bruce are all three continuing down a darker path. Meanwhile the escalation of the Court of Owls, currently referred to in the show as the Sacred Order of St. Dumas, is a little bit out there but I can go along with it for now.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold S02 E12

Episode Title: “Gorillas in Our Midst!”

So we have the return of Detective Chimp, the character whose name describes him perfectly because he is a detective who is also a chimp. Along with Batman, the hirsute Sherlock Holmes is out to stop a trio of criminal gorillas, so when the shows throws in B’Wanna Beast and Vixen it seems perfectly set up for a real rumble in the jungle. Read on to find out how it unfolds.

“I didn’t jump, I took a tiny step, and there conclusions were.” – Buffy

Another of my all-time favourite Buffy episodes while also the episode were Oz discovers like the rest of the Scoobies that he might not be as normal as he seems, while Buffy deals with a series of Werewolf attacks happening in Sunnydale.
