When we last left Gotham City, Bruce Wayne had been kidnapped by the evil King Tut and is now strapped to gurney in the back of an ambulance. Buffy The Vampire Slayer S:03 Ep:5

Episode Title: Homecoming

Original Air Date: November 3, 1998

“I thought, Homecoming Queen, I could open a yearbook someday and say, ‘I was there, I went to high school and had friends and for just one minute I got to live in the world.’ And there’d be proof. Proof I was chosen for something other than this. Besides, I look cute in a tiara.” – Buffy

It’s another mixed bag this week as well as an episode which I remember enjoying more the first time than I did for this most recent rewatch. At the same time its hard to fault its importance on the series as with Homecoming approaching Buffy and Cordelia soon find themselves on a collision course as they both battle to be prom queen. Meanwhile Mr. Trick plans to take out both Buffy and Faith by holding the competition “SlayerFest ‘98” were the competitors get to hunt the slayers for sport.

Arrow S:04 E:14

Episode Title: Code of Silence
Original Airdate: 2-17-16

This season started off rough for Arrow. Instead of building up the rivalry between Oliver and company vs. Damien Darhk and HIVE far too much time was devoted to being used as a springboard for the Legends of Tomorrow spin-off.

And even then it took a while for the season to find its footing. This week was another indicator that the season is on an upwards trend as the season is getting to the nitty gritty and delivering on its promising beginning. Continue reading Arrow S:04 E:14

Agent Carter S:02 E:06 and E:07

Episode Titles: Episode 6: Life of the Party Episode 7: Monsters
Originally Aired: February 16th 2016

Last night’s episodes of Agent Carter were a major turning point for the season. If this was a movie it would be the end of the second act where our heroes have sustained losses or been beaten back and need to regroup for a final assault on the bad guys. There are only 3 episodes left this season, another 2 hour event next week followed by the season and potentially series finale.

iZombie S2

Episode Title: The Whopper
Original Airdate: 2-16-16

While digging for the tainted Utopium in the empty field, Ravi and Major come across a body, but not the one they’re looking for. Clive and Liv begin to investigate, and the victim was a pathological liar, who also worked for Stacy Boss. Liv gladly makes a burger out of his brain, hoping to trigger a vision of where the tainted U might be buried, and by the end of the episode she achieves her goal and the trio finally find their buried “treasure,” and not a moment too soon, because Ravi’s test rat (that was cured, but reverted back to Team Z) dies.

Episode Title: No Way Out
Original Airdate: 2-14-16

I think my heart rate has slowed enough to write about last night’s episode, but if my words turn to gibberish, just know I’m having another aftershock. Yeah, it was that good.

We left the group scattered throughout Alexandria, and the surrounding area, after a herd collapsed part of the wall. This episode picks up with the stinger of the mid-season finale as Daryl, Sasha and Abraham are stopped by ten guys on motorcycles demanding everything they have, because their property now belongs to Negan, an infamous villain from the comic. While Daryl is dragged to the back of tanker he boosted to hand over anything else they may be hiding, the leader toys with Sasha and Abraham, over whether or not he will kill one, or both of them, until he and all of his buddies are suddenly blown sky high, as Daryl managed to quietly dispose of his chaperone, then take the bad guys out with the handy rocket launcher (for lack of a better term) Abraham picked up during their detour. Looks like Negan will have to wait a bit for his introduction.

Jessica Jones S:01 E:13

Episode Title: AKA Smile

Original Air Date: 11/20/2015

Jessica and Luke get help from someone else in the neighbourhood. Kilgrave gears up for a major test of his powers against Jessica.

So here we are, the final episode of Jessica Jones. Have to say it’s been a great series so far but if they didn’t stick the landing, the work of the rest of the show would have been for naught and I’m pleased to say this is another incredibly strong episode of the show. Episode Title: The Curse of Tut
Original Airdate: April 13, 1966

I have two big memories from the year 1977, when I was six years old. First, of course, was going to see Star Wars. Second was seeing the Treasures of Tutankhamun at the Field Museum in Chicago. The King Tut exhibit was a cultural phenomenon in its own right. Millions of people lined up to see the exhibit. In fact, the first time my parents and I went to go see the exhibit we had to turn back because the line was out the front door of the museum and down the block. I even had a T-Shirt with a picture of the famous gold Tut mask that said “Tut Nut.” It turns out, though, that a decade before King Tut took over Chicago, he tried to take over Gotham City in today’s episode of Batman…The Curse of Tut. Buffy The Vampire Slayer S:03 Ep:04

Episode Title: Beauty and the Beasts

Original Air Date: October 20, 1998

“We’re doing crime! You don’t sneak up during crime!” – Xander

Time for another favourite and arguably the best episode of this season, which is kinda worrying seeing how we are only four episodes into the season but here we get one of the rarer Oz-centric episodes as the Scoobie’s resident werewolf is accused of being responsible of brutally attacking a Sunnydale High student in the woods.
