When we were last in Angel Grove, the whole city was throwing a bit of a party in honor of the Power Rangers. Of course, Rita rained on that parade by unleashing a zord of her own called Cyclopsis. She also zapped all of Angel Grove’s residents into an alternate dimension. After a big battle that seemed like a victory for our heroes, Rita called upon the big blue floating head, Lokar, to reassemble Cyclopsis. Now it’s attacking the city, but the Rangers’ zords are needing a recharge. What can they do? Well, things are different now in Angel Grove. The poor citizens who have to deal with the constant giant monster attacks are now one superhero short. At the end of our last episode, Tommy (the green ranger) lost his powers, though he did score a date with Kimberly. What a trade off…you loose your superpowers, but you get to lock lips with Kimberly. There’s probably a bunch of guys who were 10 years old in 1993 that would’ve taken that trade. I’ve always thought that the Power Rangers don’t really seem all that concerned with hiding their secret identities. First there’s the whole wardrobe thing. I mean, each of them has a tendency to wear the same colors as their superhero persona on a daily basis. Then we have the martial arts angle. They are the best kung fu kids in Angel Grove, and these masked kung fu superheroes keep saving the city. Duh…think about it for a minute!
