31 Days of Tales From the Crypt: S:02 E:07

We’re almost at the end of our run kiddies, but Cryptkeeper Bubbawheat is here once again to introduce yet another guest blogger for day 29 of our 31 Days of Tales From the Crypt. He’s Markus who runs his site called The Marckoguy who tends to have a similar penchant for superhero movies that I do, but also mixes it up with plenty of classics and some current movies as well. Interestingly enough, I didn’t even realize until today that we had a Michael Ironside double feature as he also appeared in yesterday’s Comes the Dawn. As Markus was a Tales From the Crypt virgin, I had a few suggestions of some of my favorites, watching television isn’t always fun and games, sometimes you have a little fun, and sometimes it doesn’t always turn out quite the way you want it to and you just have to make The Sacrifice.

Episode Title: The Sacrifice
Original Airdate: 5-15-90

Gotham S:02 E:05

Episode Title: Scarification
Original Airdate: 10-19-15

Time to catch up with Gotham, I’m still a week behind but hope to catch up sooner rather than later. I’ve talked often about my love/hate relationship with this show and to get my feelings on this episode out of the way right here at the beginning, I was actually fairly tepid for a change. There wasn’t any cringe inducing scenes, nor were there any standout moments, things are starting to come along and we get our first real glimpse as well as the backstory for the Court of Owls that has been hinted in recent interviews and on social media in the past couple weeks or so, but I’m sure you knew that already so let’s just get straight to it then, shall we?

Greetings ghosts and goblins, this is Cryptkeeper Bubbawheat here once again for day 27 of our fantabulous feast of the faithful fans featuring another fable from our favorite show Tales From the Crypt. Today’s fearless female is Kristen Lopez from her site Journeys in Classic Film where as you might expect, she has been taking a journey in classic film, tackling mainly classic Hollywood from the 40’s through the 70’s along with the occasional dip backwards or forwards as she sees fit, including many trips to the Disney vault where she may or may not find some of my old fiendish friends tucked away in a dusty corner. But today she is looking at what could be called the Goonies of the show since it does, in fact, include one of the Goonies himself as well as a boy who would soon meet world, or at least be friends with a boy who would meet world for a few episodes before he grows up step by step. This is also one of the most misread episode titles as it does not refer to a room, or parlor, but instead refers to the paleness of the skin which is often associated with death, or you might say an Undertaking Palor.

Episode Title: Undertaking Palor

Hello again kiddos, Cryptkeeper Bubbawheat with another episode from myself as I continue on through my own slow, mini-journey through the fifth season of the show. This was another episode that I had never seen, yet it includes the likes of Bill Paxton and voice of Chucky Brad Dourif. Nothing like a little doll to bring out the Halloween spirit, or maybe some iScream to jam to. Butter this is more like Of Mice and Men and Murder. But then again, you know what they say about throwing glass if you’re People Who Live in Brass Hearses.

The Flash S:02 E:03

Episode Title: Family of Rogues
Original Airdate: 10-21-15

This episode brings in a few old characters along with a couple new ones that are actually both blasts from the past in more ways than one. It seems like every other time Snart returns he brings another member of his family along with him and this time is no different. And on the other side of things, we finally find out what happened to Iris’s mother. And as a brief side-note, for anyone who may have been expecting this post a lot sooner, I apologize for being late. Life tends to get in the way but I am in the process of catching up on all of my shows as soon as I’m able to.

31 Days of Tales From the Crypt S:04 E:02

Greetings kiddies, we’re winding down towards the end of our 31 Days of Tales From the Crypt as we inch closer to Halloween. And on day 24 we have yet another guest to take a look at an episode of the show for you. Today we have Nick Hamden from Gorgon Reviews where he reviews mainly new releases including the crap, but does occasionally dip back a few years. Here he chose almost completely at random one of the weaker episodes of the show, and if he reads this I would recommend reading through our other days to find one of the better episodes to check out, because this episode? This’ll Kill Ya.

Episode Title: This’ll Kill Ya

Cryptkeeper Bubbawheat rotting away as I bring you the 23rd entry in our 31 Days of Tales From the Crypt. Today’s victim is Matthew Stewart who can be found talking with the other pledges over at Simplistic Reviews where you can also listen to them on their podcast, or if you want you can just stalk him on Twitter. Today he’s going back to college with several other 90’s kids including Wesley Crusher and T.S. Quint during pledge week where the haunt of the night is at the House of Horrors.

Good morning creeps and creepettes, Cryptkeeper Bubbawheat back for day 22 of our 31 Days of Tales From the Crypt. Today’s rodent is none other than Bernardo Villela who is The Movie Rat where he nibbles on all sorts of film, including plenty of foreign, indie, and documentary titles. Today, he takes a look at one of the episodes that I’m entirely unfamiliar with but sounds infinitely interesting, especially for me considering I have a penchant towards time loops, or might I say a time Whirlpool.

Episode Title: Whirlpool

Hello kiddies, Cryptkeeper Bubbawheat joining you yet again for another round of our 31 Days of Tales From the Crypt, gather ’round the computer as our friend theVoid99 recounts the tale of the rocker’s woe. He can usually be found at his haunting grounds Surrender to the Void where he reviews movies of all shapes and sizes past and present, though usually past. Today he’s taking a look at possibly one of his favorite yet one of my least favorite episodes as what happens when the likes of a Yoko Ono takes on a more modern heavy metal band where Heavy D plays a voodoo priest who tattoos not fifteen men, but just one woman On a Deadman’s Chest.

Good morning pests and putrescence, Cryptkeeper Bubbawheat keeping things going right on track for day 20 of our 31 Days of Tales From the Crypt. Our next victim comes from Cinefessions where you go to confess all your cinema sins. Oops, sorry that’s something else not affiliated with Cinefessions, forget I said that. As I was saying, over at Cinefessions, Branden along with a few others discuss all types of film as well as have a podcast, and even talk some TV. But today he’s talking about one of the most terrifying episodes of Tales From the Crypt, at least it is if you work in the TV business, you might say it’s a Television Terror.

Episode Title: Television Terror
