Welcome back to another episode of the webseries We Might Be Superheroes where we continue our conversation where we left off last week. This week Hope and Faith get a surprise visit from another hero that’s a little bit more than she first appears.
Channel: Superhero: The episodes often vary quite a bit in length, is that partly determined at the script stage, or does it usually come down to the final edit?
Pat Bishow: Actually I would like to have all the episodes short. But if the story requires it being longer then I’ll do it. That’s the advantage of making your own series. There are no rules. But shorter ones seem to get more views (with the exception of the Troya episode-I think that is because of the fight scene).
Rica de Ocampo: I think it’s usually determined at the script stage and also what happens the day of the shoot. If we can get everything in the script shot to our liking it’ll usually make it in the episode. There isn’t a lot that gets lost on the cutting room floor.
